Electrical engineering is one of the newest technological branches and dates back to the late 19th century. It is the engineering division that deals with electricity technology. Electrical engineers work on a wide variety of components, devices, and systems, ranging from small microchips to large generators of power stations.
Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and oversee electrical equipment manufacturing, including electrical motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, and power generation equipment, the U.S. states Bureau of Labor Statistics. Electronics engineers design and build electronic devices ranging from portable music players to global positioning systems (GPS), such as broadcasting and communication systems. If it is a realistic, real-world device that produces, conducts, or uses electricity, it was designed by an electrical engineer in all likelihood. Besides, engineers may conduct or write the specifications for the performance, reliability, and long-term durability of devices and components for destructive or non-destructive testing.
