Telecommunications contractors are companies or individuals who support the transmission of audio and visual signals electronically. Businesses working in this trade must have a valid license to contract telecommunications contractors. So every telecommunications contractor also needs a certified telecommunications administrator to ensure that the business follows the laws, rules, and regulations of the State. For individuals conducting telecommunications installations, there is no prerequisite for certification. Furthermore, there are other business conditions for doing the job. They also schedule network installations by reviewing customer orders, schedules, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, components, materials, and tools; determining the position of installation; and drawing up an installation diagram.

Hillcrest, NY

Hillcrest is a hamlet in the town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States, incorporated in 1893 and a census-designated place. It is located north of Spring Valley, east of Viola, west of New City and south of New Square and New Hempstead. The population at the 2010 census was 7,558. It is a New York City residential suburb, as many people commute to Manhattan (and, to a lesser degree, northern New Jersey) by bus (Red and Tan Lines), train (Metro-North Railroad), or car. It is mainly served by the post office at Spring Valley.

Because of its location on Honeoye Lake ‘s northern tip and seasonal recreational population, the hamlet includes many businesses including gas stations and grocery stores, pharmacy, liquor, hardware, car parts, and convenience stores. It also includes multiple restaurants, a doctor’s office, dentist’s office, and the K-12 Honeoye Central School. Multiple churches, a fire station, library, beach, park, state boat launch, and hiking trail are also available.

The name Honeoye is derived from the Seneca word ha-ne-ayaha-yah, meaning lying finger, or where the finger is. The name derives from a Native American’s local tale whose finger was bitten by a rattlesnake, and who chopped off his arm with a tomahawk. It is thought that the area which is now Honeoye’s hamlet was first occupied more than 10,000 years ago by the Point Peninsula Indians. They were followed by the Seneca, who settled their village in the northeastern part of Honeoye Lake, just north of the present-day Honeoye Lake Park community. This Seneca village was destroyed by General John Sullivan during the American Revolution in September1779 as part of his effort to eradicate the threat from the Iroquois, most of whose nations were allied with the British. Sullivan’s troops built a small garrison at the site of the Indian village known as Fort Cummings, named for the left commanding officer. They left their “sick, lame, and lazy” here, as well as a significant portion of their supplies, so they could quickly get west into the Genesee country and push the Seneca from the border.
